A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, TO PUT IN PLACE A
POLICY FOR THE USE OF HAND-FREE-DEVICE FOR
CELLULAR PHONES USE BY EMPLOYEES WHO
OPERATE CITY OWNED VEHICLES; PROVIDING
FOR INCORPORATION OF RECITALS; PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka desires to have a
hands-free policy prohibiting employees using cellular phones while operating City owned
vehicles, unless they are in hands-free mode:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA,FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby directed and authorized to formulate a
policy prohibiting employees from using cellular phones while operating City-owned
vehicles, unless they are in hands-free mode.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
