CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO. J 7-1,;2
RESOLUTION GRANTING A
CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO
KNR ELECTRONICS, INC.
WHEREAS, KNR Electronics, Inc. (Applicant) has applied for a conditional
use permit to construct an office -warehouse at 810 Tower Drive; and
WHEREAS, the City's zoning ordinance requires a conditional use permit
under such circumstances; and
WHEREAS, this matter was reviewed by the planning commission on October
13, 1987, and by the City Council on November 3, 1987; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the construction of the proposed
office -warehouse at the above address will not impede the orderly development
of adjacent properties.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina,
Minnesota that a conditional use permit be granted to the Applicant for the
stated purpose, subject to the following terms and conditions:
1. There shall be no exterior storage on the site;
2. The exterior of the building shall be constructed of the materials
proposed by the Applicant and shown on the plan submitted to the
City;
3. All signs on the property shall comply with city ordinances;
4. All mechanical equipment shall be screened from view in the manner
specified on the plans presented by the Applicant;
5. Site landscaping shall be installed in accordance with the plans
presented by the Applicant;
6. The site shall contain at least 10 parking spaces;
7. Hours of operation shall be limited to 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days
per week;
8. Exterior lighting fixtures shall be directed downward so as not be
cast light directly onto adjacent properties and shall be satis-
factory to city staff;
9. Site drainage shall be in accordance with the plan presented by the
Applicant;
10. There shall be no exterior storage of trash containers on the site;
11. The Applicant shall pay the sewer availability charge determined by
the city staff;
12. The Applicant shall pay to the City a fee in the amount determined
by the staff to represent the actual cost to the City of reviewing
this conditional use permit application; and
13. The Applicant shall execute a Development Contract and post a
completion bond which are satisfactory in form and amount to city
staff.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Medina that a variance be granted to reduce the required side yard setback
from the west property line from 30' to 20' for the driveway because the
existence of a low area and drainage on the site create a hardship within the
meaning of the City's zoning ordinance.
