RESOLUTION NO. u 7 /:^
RESOLUTION GRANTING A
CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO
FIRST COACH CORPORATION
WHEREAS, First Coach Corporation (Applicant) has applied for a condi-
tional use permit for conversion of the old Feed Mill building at 62 Hamel
Road into a sales, office and storage facility; and
WHEREAS, the City's zoning ordinance requires a conditional use permit
under such circumstances; and
WHEREAS, this matter was reviewed by the planning commission on October
13, 1987, and by the City Council on November 3, 1987; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the proposed reuse of the building
will not impede the orderly development of adjacent properties.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina,
Minnesota that a conditional use permit be granted to the Applicant for the
stated purpose, subject to the following terms and conditions:
1. There shall be no exterior storage on the site;
2. The exterior building materials shall be in compliance with city
ordinance requirements;
3. All signs on the property shall be in compliance with city
ordinances;
4. The parking lot shall contain a minimum of seven spaces and shall be
paved no later than July 1, 1988;
5. The Applicant shall install the landscaping shown on the plan
submitted to the City no later than October 1, 1988;
6. There shall be no exterior storage of trash containers on site;
7. The city engineer shall calculate hard surface coverage of the site;

8. The hours of operation shall be limited to 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven
days per week;
9. Exterior lighting fixtures shall be directed downward so as not to
cast light directly onto adjacent properties;
10. The maximum number of employees shall be three;
11. There shall be no retail sales on the site;
12. No sewer availability charge shall be made because there shall be no
washing of vehicles on the site;
13. The Applicant shall pay to the City a fee in the amount determined
by the staff to represent the actual cost to the City of reviewing
this conditional use permit application; and
14. The Applicant shall execute a Development Contract and post a
completion bond which are satisfactory in form and amount to city
staff.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Medina that a variance shall be granted for the setback of the parking lot
because the size of the lot and location of the existing building constitute a
hardship.
