HomeMy Public PortalAbout1987-1307-XL / 6 Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINgA� RESOLUTION NO. 0 430 RESOLUTION GRANTING A VARIANCE FOR GEORGE DYKHOFF WHEREAS, George Dykhoff (Applicant) has requested variances to build an addition to his garage at 622 Highway 55 which would be located 37 feet from the front lot line and 20 feet from the side lot line; and WHEREAS, the City's zoning ordinance requires that structures maintain a front yard setback of 100 feet from state highways and a side yard setback of 30 feet; and WHEREAS, Section 825.45 of the City's Code of Ordinances and Minn. Stat., Section 462.357 require that variances from the strict interpretation of the zoning ordinance be granted only when there is a demonstrated hardship because of circumstances unique to the property; and WHEREAS, the planning commission and City Council have considered the Applicant's request and have reviewed the matter thoroughly. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina, Minnesota that the Applicant's request for the described variances be granted because the addition will be to an existing garage, which constitutes a hardship justifying the variances.
