Resolution No.10-8082
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, DIRECTING AND AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO SUBMIT A PLAN TO EITHER
PURCHASE TOWN CENTER OR TO BUILD A CITY HALL;
PROVIDING FOR RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Opa-locka needs a permanent home for its City offices, owned by the
City of Opa-locka; and
WHEREAS, the City of Opa-locka desires to either purchase the Town Center, where the City's
offices are currently located,or in the alternative to build a new City Hall on City-owned land; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka authorizes the City Manager to
submit a plan to either purchase the Town Center or to build a new City Hall on City-owned land:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA-LOCKA,FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka, hereby authorizes and directs the
City Manager to submit a plan to either purchase the Town Center, or in the alternative, to build a new
City Hall on City-owned land.

Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
