RESOLUTION NO. 2016-044
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PRELIMINARY PLAT OF TIFFIN HEIGHTS
EAST, A SUBDIVISION TO TIFFIN, IOWA
Whereas, MMS Consultants, on behalf of The Builders LLC, has filed with the City of
Tiffin a preliminary plat for Tiffin Heights East, a sub -division to the City of Tiffin, Iowa,
legally described on attached Exhibit "A", hereby incorporated, and;
Whereas, the Tiffin Planning & Zoning Commission has reviewed and approved the
preliminary plat on a 3-2 vote its June Planning & Zoning meeting, and;
WHEREAS, The Tiffin Fire Chief has reviewed and given his recommendations for the
preliminary plat, and;
WHEREAS, City Engineer, Hart Frederick, has given their review and comments of said
preliminary plat (comments attached) and subject to certain revisions, provided however
that no improvements shall be constructed or installed without his written approval,
which may be withheld until such time as all necessary permits have been issued from
the state and federal agencies; and
Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa, that the
Preliminary Plat, for Tiffin Heights East is hereby approved; and further that the Mayor
and City Administrator/Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute all related
legal documents, and that the City shall properly record this Resolution 2016-044 and if
necessary as per instructions of City Attorney, the Sub -Dividers Agreement is not to be
included with this resolution. That the lots within Tiffin Heights shall be zoned according
to the official zoning map for the City of Tiffin, Iowa, and that Outlot B to be dedicated to
the City as Public Open Space.
On the 19th day of July, 2016, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa,
Councilperson Kahler introduced RESOLUTION NO. 2016-044, A RESOLUTION
APPROVING THE PRELIMINARY PLAT OF TIFFIN HEIGHTS EAST, A
SUBDIVISION TO TIFFIN, IOWA, and made a motion for approval. Motion seconded
by Councilperson Ryan.
Ayes: Upton, Bartels, Havens, Kahler, Ryan.
Nays: None
Absent: None.
Whereupon Five Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner
declared that RESOLUTION NO. 2016-044, A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE
PRELIMINARY PLAT OF TIFFIN HEIGHTS EAST, A SUBDIVISION TO TIFFIN,
IOWA, to be adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature
thereto.
