CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO. SV-3
RESOLUTION DENYING
SUBDIVISION APPROVAL
FOR BARBARA HARE
WHEREAS, Barbara Hare (Applicant) has requested approval of a plan to
subdivide her 5.4 acre parcel located at 1502 Hunter Drive into two lots, each
containing approximately 2.7 acres; and
WHEREAS, Section 826.25, Subd. 2 of the Medina city code specifies
minimum lot size requirements for residential properties based on the type and
amount of certain soils; and
WHEREAS, both of the proposed lots would contain less area than is
permitted under the city code because of the types of soils present; and
WHEREAS, there exists no hardship relating to the Applicant's property
which would justify granting a variance from the minimum lot size requirements
of the City; and
WHEREAS, the Applicant has not been deprived of all reasonable use of her
property because it is currently used for one single-family dwelling.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina
that the Applicant's request for subdivision approval is denied.
