SUPPORTING ASSEMBLY BILL A-2922
WHEREAS, Assembly Bill A-2922, released by the Assembly Housing and Local
Government Committee, would amend NJ.SAOA:4-9, to allow amendments to the
municipal budget to be provided in writing at public hearings rather than being read in
full; and . .

WHEREAS, as such, Assembly Bill A-2922 will provide that when a municipal
governing body amends a municipal budget, all amendments shall either be 'read in full,
or provided in writing to all members df the governing body and attendees at the public
heari.ng; and
: WHEREAS, A-2922 would require the writing to be provided to all members of the
governing body and attendees prior to submitting it to the Director of Taxation'in the
Department of the' Treasury; and
WHEREAS, the New Jersey League of Municipalities strongly supports A-2922 as
released and has requested that all of its members to go on record similarly supporting the
same.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL YED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
L That the Borough of Carteret hereby supports Assembly Bill A-2922 released
by the Assembly Housing and Local Government Committee.
2. That a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the New Jersey League of
