APPROVAL TO SUBMIT A GRANT APPLICATION AND
EXECUTE A GRANT AGREEMENT WITH THE
NEW JERSEY DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORATION FOR THE HERMANN AVENUE
RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret, County of
Middlesex, New Jersey are desirous of obtaining funding from NIDOT Trust Fund
Authority Act, Fiscal Year 2009 Municipal Aid Program for the Hermann Avenue
Reconstruction Project; and
WHEREAS, the Governing Body has authorized the Borough Engineer, T&M
Associates, to prepare a Municipal Aid Grant Application for submittal for funding
under the FY 2009 NIDOT Grant Program; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the Borough of
Carteret, formally approves the grant application for the above stated project.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized
to submit an electronic grant applicatiou identified as MA-2009-Carteret
Borough-00467 to the New Jersey Department of Transportation on behalf of the
Borough of Carteret.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized
to sign the grant agreement on behalf of the Borough of Carteret and their
sign;J.ture constitutes acceptance of the tenus and conditions of the grant agreement
and approves the execution of the grant agreement.
My signature and the Clerk's seal serve to acknowledge the above resolution and
constihltes acceptance of the terms and conditions of the grant agreement and
approve the execution of the grant agreement as authorized by the resolution
above.
