WHEREAS,the City of Opa-locka desires to purchase seven(7)additional police vehicles together with the standard safety equipment and police radios; and WHEREAS, the base price per vehicle is $21,258.25, together with Safety equipment- $4,094.30; Police radio- $4,677.35, making the total cost per car $30,000.00 , with a total cost of Two Hundred and Ten Thousand Dollars($210,000.00)for the seven vehicles,if purchased from the Florida Sheriff's Association; and WHEREAS, the vehicles will be ordered and delivered within six (6) to eight (8) weeks upon approval of the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka; and WHEREAS, the City desires Dana Safety to install the Safety equipment within sixty(60) days after delivery: NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA,FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference. Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka hereby authorizes and directs the City Manager to purchase seven(7)additional police vehicles from Florida Sheriffs Association Resolution No. 10-8103 in the amount of thirty thousand dollars ($30,000.00) per vehicle, payable from Account Number 36-521648,and to contract with Dana Safety to ensure that standard safety equipment is installed in all vehicles.
