RESOLUTION REQUESTING FUNDS FROM THE MIDDLESEX
COUNTY OPEN SPACE TRUST FUND FOR THE WATERFRONT P ARI(
PIER EXTENSION PROJECT
\VHEREAS; the Mayor and CotU1cil of the Borough of Carteret are desirous to construct
an 800 ft. pier extension at Carteret Waterfront Park; and :
'VHEREAS, discussions were held concerning this pier extension which will better serve
the residents of the Borough; and
\VHEREAS, it is necessary for the Governing Body to formally request the involvement
and aid of the Middlesex County Board of Chosen Freeholders in securing the needed
funds for this project from the Middlesex County Open Space Trust Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret do hereby formally request $1,000,000.00 from the Middlesex County Open
Space Fund. .
