HomeMy Public PortalAbout2021-62 Recognizing Polilce Officer Andrew Scharf For Five Years Of Service To The City Of MedinaMember DesLauriers introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO. 2021-62 RECOGNIZING POLICE OFFICER ANDREW SCHARF FOR FIVE YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE CITY OF MEDINA WHEREAS, Andrew Scharf has been a valued City of Medina employee in the Police Department of the City since September, 2016; and WHEREAS, Andrew has served as a Community Service Officer for 1 year: and WHEREAS, Andrew has served as a Patrol Officer for 4 years; and WHEREAS, Andrew became the department's second ever Drug Recognition Evaluator (DRE), finishing in the top 1 percent of his class; and WHEREAS, Andrew is a Certified Field Training Officer (FTO); and WHEREAS, Andrew is a two time Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) award nominee and has lead the entire department in traffic related contacts his entire five year career; and WHEREAS, Andrew is currently enrolled at Metropolitan State University obtaining his Master of Public Administration degree, anticipating to complete in December, 2022; and WHEREAS, the City of Medina expresses sincere gratitude for Andrew's continued service to the Medina community. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Medina acknowledges and thanks Andrew Scharf for five years of service to the community. Dated: September 21, 2021.
