It is our understanding that the Borough of Carteret wishes to construct streetscape improvements along Roosevelt Avenue for Parcels 'A' North and 'A' South of the Gateway at Carteret project. These improvements will be between Arthur Avenue and McKinley Avenue and will be designed with the typical streetscape improvements recently constructed within the Borough, Concrete curbing was recently installed along the project limits and the improvements will consist of concrete sidewalk, stamped concrete, tree grates and trees, trash receptacles, benches and planters, The estimated construction cost for these improvements is $195,000,00. It should be noted that design of the reconstruction of Roosevelt Avenue is not included in this proposal. With this in mind we offer the following scope of services: Preparation of Contract Documents Work in this phase will include preparation of bid specifications and final construction plans and details to be used for construction of the improvements, We will also () /1.. coordinate our efforts with Public Service Electric and Gas (PSE&G) to ensure that the J1' ."' decorative street lights are installed concurrently with the construction of the Borough L'!f.P~',',. improvements. Provide Bid Documents to Prospective Bidders as needed b. Answer Prospective Bidder's Request for Information c. Provide Addenda for Clarification of Project Specifications d. Attend Bid Opening e. Anaiyze Responsible Bids andHecommend Contract Award Contract Administration Services Generally, we prefer to quote services for construction phase upon the completion of the Bid Phase as the ultimate cost for our services will depend upon a number of factors including the final design, the contractor to whom the contract is awarded and the desired level of construction observation required, We would recommend that the fee outlined below be budgeted for this purpose, Should the final design and other contract factors preclude CME from being able to properly administer the project within this budget, we will inform you immediately. The above-quoted fees will be in effect for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of this proposal; however, the fees on the hourly rate schedule are subject to change by January 1 of each year. Should you accept our fee estimate, kindly provide a purchase order or professional services resolution authorizing same.
