AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO A SUPPLEMENTAL PROGRAM AGREEMENT ON
BEHALF OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION WITH
THE MISSOURI HIGHWAY AND TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION FOR PEDESTRIAN
AND BICYCLE FACILITIES AS A PART OFTHE JEFFERSON CITY GREENWAY SYSTEM.
WHEREAS, On December 12,2006 the Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission
approved Project No.STP-3100(516)underthe Transportation Enhancement
Funds Program; and
WHEREAS, This project is a part of the Jefferson City Greenway System Master Plan; and
WHEREAS, Difficulties with right-of-way acquisition which delayed the project have been
resolved; and
WHEREAS, An extension of time is necessary to complete construction plans and award
a construction contract to avoid loss of grant funding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into a
supplemental project agreement on behalf of the City of Jefferson Parks and Recreation
Commission with the Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission for pedestrian bicycle
trail facilities from the East Branch Greenway Trail at Leslie/Stadium Boulevard to Aurora
Neighborhood Park on Aurora Avenue designated as Project No. STP-3100(516).
Section 2. The agreement shall be substantially the same inform and content as the
agreement attached hereto as Exhibit A.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of
its passage and approval. f
