RESOLUTION NO. 10-8122
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA TO SUSPEND
DEFERRED COMPENSATION AND CAR ALLOWANCES
FOR UNCLASSIFIED EMPLOYEES FOR A PERIOD OF
SIX (6) MONTHS, EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 1, 2010;
PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF RECITALS;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Opa-locka is currently experiencing a difficult financial
situation due to current conditions of the economy; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka desires to economize and
alleviate the City's financial situation; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka desires to suspend deferred
compensation and car allowances for unclassified employees:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City Of Opa-Locka directs and authorizes
that all deferred compensation and car allowances for unclassified employees shall be suspended
for a period of six (6) months, effective October 1, 2010.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
