A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, TO AUTHORIZE THE
CITY MANAGER TO REPAIR JOHN DEERE BACKHOE
LOADER MODEL 410G VIN #T0410GX931260 MFGR AT
NORTRAX REPAIR SHOP, LOCATED AT 4343 NW 76TH
AVENUE, MIAMI, FLORIDA 33166, AN AUTHORIZED
AGENT OF EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURER (JOHN
DEERE) FOR THE SUM OF TWELVE THOUSAND FIVE
HUNDRED FIFTY SEVEN DOLLARS AND EIGHTEEN
CENTS($12,537.18),PAYABLE FROM ACCOUNT NUMBER
49-541640; PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF
RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka desires to have its Backhoe
Loader repaired by Nortrax, an authorized agent for the backhoe loader manufacturer,John Deere;
and
WHEREAS,a diagnosis performed on the Backhoe,revealed total transmission malfunction,
requiring extensive repairs to the Backhoe transmission system,at a cost of$15,533.18,excluding
labor; and
WHEREAS, John Deere has agreed to participate in the cost of repair by paying
contributions of $6,035.60, towards the cost of parts, thereby reducing the cost of parts to
$9,586.18, exclusive of the labor cost, which is $2,811.00, and fees of$160.00; and
WHEREAS,the overall total transmission repair costs for diagnosis,parts,labor and fees for
the City of Opa-locka is $12,537.18, to be payable from Account 49-54160:

NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA,FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka hereby authorizes and directs
the City Manager to repair the Backhoe Loader Model 410G, VIN#: T0410GX931259 MFGR at
Nortrax Repair Shop,an authorized agent for John Deere,located at 4343 NW 76th Avenue,Miami,
Florida 33166, for the sum of Twelve Thousand Five Hundred Thirty Seven Dollars and Eighteen
Cents ($12,537.18), payable from account number 49-541640;
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.

DEER — FOR THE SUM OF TWELVE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED
THIRY SEVEN DOLLARS AND EIGHTEEN CENTS ($12,537.18)
PAYABLE FROM ACCOUNT NUMBER 49-541640.
Description: THE BACKHOE LOADER BROKE DOWN, REQUIRING EXTENSIVE
REPAIRS. A DIAGNOSIS WAS DONE, WHICH REVEALED TOTAL
TRANSMISSION MALFUNCTION. REPAIR REQUIRES REMOVAL AND
REPLACEMENT OF TRANSMISSION SYSTEM, WITH A
REMANUFACTURED ONE, WHICH WILL INCLUDE A CHARGE PUMP.
THE MANUFACTURER, JOHN DEERE WAS CONTACTED AND AGREED
TO PARTIFICPATE WITH PARTS AND LABOR CONTRIBUTION TO THE
TUNE OF SIX THOUSAND THIRTY FIVE DOLLARS AND SIXTY CENTS,
REDUCING THE COST TO $12,537.18 (THE AMOUNT STATED ABOVE)
FROM THE ORIGINAL TOTAL REPAIR ESTIMATE OF FIFTEEN
THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED THIRTY THREE DOLLARS AND EIGHT
CENTS ($15,433.08).
