A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING STAFF TO ISSUE A REQUEST - FOR PROPOSALS ;, FOR
CONSULTING SERVICES' FOR THE PREPARATION. '~~OF~~'~,P.L'A. NS~.`'. ~AND
SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CITY HALL HEATING VENTILATION AND AIR
CONDITIONING (HVAC) REPLACEMENT PROJECT ~~.
WHEREAS, the existing HVAC units in the city are over 17 years old and
inefficient; and
WHEREAS, this project is funded by the Energy Efficiency Conservation Block
Grant (EECBG) through the Department of Energy on a reimbursable basis.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood approves the issuance
of a Request for Proposals for consulting services to prepare the plans and
specifications for the design of the HVAC units in City Hall.
Section 2. The Department of Public Works has determined that said project is
in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and is categorically
exempt pursuant to section 15301 (C) of the CEQA guidelines pertaining to statutory
exemption
Section 3. According to the State Historic Preservation Office, the Lynwood
City Hall is not designated as a preservation site.
Section 4. This Resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 5. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 4th day of May, 2010.
