I hope everything is great! I am just writing to recognize the hard work Betty Priegues has put for many years. Every morning we see her greeting everyone and making sure all crossing are organized around the schools. She helps parents and students in anything they need. Safety is her priority. Parents and kids were very happy when she was able to add more crossing guards to Crandon Blvd. Betty goes above and beyond. On very hot days, she always has small water bottles for the safety patrols. On rainy days Betty puts on her rain boots and raincoat to help the children make it safe to their car while also helping them carry their stuff. Thank you Betty for spreading kindness to our community. For these reasons in 2022 she got recognized by the Kindness Committee, to be a Kindness Ambassador (see attachment). We are very thankful as a community to have Betty. Thank you for your attention and have a great day. Best regards, Laudy lbarra May 1, 2023 Dear Sir Williamson, My name is Beatriz Urbano, a member of this community and the mother of a KBCS student. I am writing to you because I would like to emphasize how fortunate we are in Key Biscayne in general and in the school in particular to have the support and work of Crossguard Betty and the team she leads. Betty during all these years of work, has proven to be a person of integrity, responsible, hardworking, polite, and caring. She loves her job and takes care of our children as I they were her own. Both my daughter Candela and I, every morning when we go to school, are safe, and we are greeted with a smile, a nice word and that is thanks to Crossguard Betty. I consider her a great person, trustworthy, and with the aptitude and capacity to deal with any responsibility left in her charge. I reiterate my sincere thanks and appreciation to Crossguard Betty both professionally and personally. I would like this letter to reflect my gratitude and pride in Betty's work, she is wonderful and takes diligent care of our children. I can't imagine going to school and her not being there taking care of all of us. She is an angel!!!. Sincerely Beatriz Urbano April 30, 2023 To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to endorse Betty Priegues for the position of Crossing Guard for the Village of Key Biscayne. During my tenure as Supervisor of Crossing Guards for the Village, between 2008 and 2017, Betty was my best Crossing Guard. She is, and has always been, beloved by the children she crosses as well as the parents. She has been named Crossing Guard of the Year at least once by the company that took over supervision of the Guards from the Village.
