A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING
A PANEL OF HEARING OFFICERS TO CONDUCT ADMINISTRATIVE HEARINGS
RESULTING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF ADMINISTRATIVE CITATIONS
WHEREAS, there are various enforcement options that can be utilized to
encourage the correction of violations; and
WHEREAS, these options include the issuance of administrative citations and
Parties who are issued an administrative citation have the right to appeal; and
WHEREAS, Lynwood Municipal Code Section 20 provides fo~°,the issuance ~of
administrative citations for municipal code violations~wand3`~~iolations ;of~~tfie~:Calif,ornia
Building, Plumbing, Electrical and Mechanical Code, `and
WHEREAS, individuals who are issued a citation have the right to appeal the
administrative citation within fifteen (15)'days from the issuance date; and ,
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 20-9(a), the City Manager or his
designee shall select a fair and impartial hearing officer from a panel of hearing officers
selected by City Council for the administrative citation hearing.
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Administrative Citation process is an option that can be utilized
to encourage and~correct existing code violations.
Section 2. In accordance with Lynwood Municipal Code Section 20-9(a), that
the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby approve the following list of
prospective hearing officers to conduct the appeal process for Administrative Citations.

Section 3. That this Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
adoption.
