HomeMy Public PortalAbout1988-058Member / e /.5 introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION N0. ,X-J5-1 RESOLUTION ADOPTING REASSESSMENT FOR INDEPENDENCE BEACH PROJECT WHEREAS, pursuant to proper notice duly given as required by law, the City Council has met and heard and passed upon all objections to the proposed reassessment of Lot 29, Block 9, Independence Beach, for the Independence Beach project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina, Minnesota, as follows: 1. It is found and determined that Lot 29, Block 9, Independence Beach, is unbuildable due to soil conditions and small lot size and derives no benefit from said project due to the fact that said lot has been combined with abutting property. 2. The amount of the assessment levied in 1976 against said parcel is found to be excessive within the meaning of Minnesota Statute Section 429.071, subdvision 2. 3. The proposed reassessment of said lot, in the amount of zero dollars is hereby adopted. 4. The City Clerk -Treasurer is hereby directed to transmit this resolution to the Hennepin County Tax Department.
