APPROVING PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT -
KEVIN MORSE, SLAVIN & MORSE, LLC
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of professional legal services with regard to
disciplinary heating related matters; and
. WHEREAS, Kevin Morse of the law firm of Slavin & Morse, LLC, possesses the requisite
experience and expertise to provide said specialized legal services; and
WHEREAS, Kevin Morse, has submitted a proposal to provide said services at a maximum
cost not to exceed $1,500.00; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds ate or will be available for
said purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borougb
of Carteret that Kevin Morse of the law firm of Slavin & Morse, LLC T;le appointed as
special counsel to addressdisciplinaxy heating related matters at a maximum cost not to
exceed $1,500.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this action is approved as an award of a
professional services contract pursuant to NJ.S.A. 40A:l~-5(1)(a) in accordance with the
Borough,'s Fait: and Open Process as authorized by law.

And the Boroul!h of Carteret a municipal Corporation having its Principal Office at the
Borough Hall, 61 Cooke Avenue, Carteret, New Jersey.
As per Resolution Number 08-227.
THE CONTRACTOR does hereby agree to perform the following:
PROFESSIONAL SERVICE CONTRACT FOR DISCIPLINARY HEARINGS.
NOT TO EXCEED $1,500.00
According to the terms set forth in the Resolution.
THE BOROUGH does hereby agree to pay the Contractor the sum set f01ih in
Resolution.
