Resolution No. 10-8149
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, APPROVING AN
AGREEMENT TO ENGAGE SQUIRE SANDERS &
DEMPSEY, LLP AS BOND COUNSEL FOR THE CITY OF
OPA-LOCKA AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO EXECUTE THE ATTACHED AGREEMENT;PROVIDING
FOR INCORPORATION OF RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS,the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka approved Resolution No. 10-
8131 , selecting Squire Sanders &Dempsey,LLP,as Bond Counsel for the City of Opa-locka; and
WHEREAS,Squire Sanders&Dempsey,LLP, will provide their services as bond counsel
and undertake bond transactions for the City; and
WHEREAS, as per the agreement the City of Opa-locka can terminate Squire Sanders &
Dempsey, LLP, representation at any time, with or without cause, upon written notice; and
WHEREAS, the proposed agreement with Squire Sanders & Dempsey, LLP, is attached
hereto:
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA,FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka directs and authorizes the City
Manager to execute an agreement with Squire Sanders&Dempsey,LLP,and the City of Opa-locka
for professional services as Bond Counsel, in substantially the form attached hereto.

Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA,FLORIDA:
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 27`h day of October, 2010.
