APPROVING PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT -
SLAVIN & MORSE, LLC
WHEREAS, the Borough of Quteret is in need of professional legal services with regard to
ABC related matters; and
'WHEREAS, the law finn of Slavin & Morse, lie, possesses the requisite experience and
expertise to provide said specialized legal services; and
WHEREAS, the law finn of Slavin & Morse, LLC; has submitted a proposal to provide said
selVices at a maximum cost not to exceed $562.50; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available for
said purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by tbe Mayor and Council of tbe Borough
of Carteret that the law firm of Slavin &. Morse, LLC be appointed as special counsel to
address ABC license related matters at a maximum cost not to exceed $562.50.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this action is approved as an award of a
professional services contract pursuant to NJ-S.A. 401\:11-5(1)(a) in accordance with the
Borough's Fair and Open Process as authorized by law.
