A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE
EXPENDITURE OF SEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS
($7,000.00) FOR A "HOLIDAY IN THE PARK TOY GIVE-
AWAY" TO BE HELD ON DECEMBER 18, 2010, TO GO
TOWARDS THE 8TH ANNUAL "HOLIDAY IN THE PARK
TOY GIVE-AWAY" EVENT, AND PAYABLE FROM
ACCOUNT NUMBER 79-579402.
WHEREAS, out of a desire to foster good will and assist children who may not be able to
experience holiday joy during these tough economic times, Vice-Mayor Dorothy"Dottie"Johnson desires
to sponsor a"Holiday in the Park Toy Give-Away"to be held on December 18, 2010; and
WHEREAS, in order to adequately fund the desired and worthwhile event, Vice-Mayor Dorothy
"Dottie"Johnson is requesting that the City of Opa-locka Commission authorize the expenditure of Seven
Thousand Dollars ($7,000.00) toward the City event for the toy give-away, the 8th Annual "Holiday in the
Park Toy Give-Away"event.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA-LOCKA,FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka hereby authorizes the
expenditures of Seven Thousand Dollars ($7,000.00) for the 8th Annual "Holiday in the Park Toy Give-
Away"event to be held on December 18, 2010,payable from Account Number 79-579402.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 8th day of December,2010.
