ORDINANCE NO. [ EL
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY
CLERKTO ENTER INTO A GRANT AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON WITH THE
MISSOURI DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FOR HAZARD MITIGATION,AND AMENDING
THE 2010-2011 BUDGET OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI BYAPPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL
FUNDS WITHIN THE GENERAL FUND.
WHEREAS, The Missouri Department of Economic Development has approved Project No. 2008-DI-73
under the Hazard Mitigation Program; and
WHEREAS, This funding is to acquire and demolish deteriorated properties in the flood plain within Old
Town;
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into a funding agreement on
behalf of the City of Jefferson with the Missouri Department of Economic Development Project No.2008-DI-
73.
Section 2. The agreement shall be substantially the same in form and content as the agreement
attached hereto as Exhibit A.
Section 3. There is hereby supplementally appropriated within the General Fund $548,000 as
indicated hereto as Exhibit B.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage and
approval.
