HomeMy Public PortalAbout1988-077Member 9�atri its adoption: introduced the following resolution and moved CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO. iff / / RESOLUTION GRANTING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO JIM HEDTKE WHEREAS, Jim Hedtke (Applicant) has applied for a conditional use permit for an expansion of an existing office/machine shop located at 3522 Sioux Drive; and WHEREAS, the City's zoning ordinance requires a conditional use permit under such circumstances; and WHEREAS, this matter has been reviewed by the planning commission on August 9, 1988, and by the City Council on September 6, 1988; and WHEREAS, it has been determined that the expansion of the office/machine shop will not impede the orderly development of adjacent properties. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina, Minnesota that a conditional use permit be granted to the Applicant for the stated purpose, subject to the following terms and conditions: 1. There shall be no exterior storage on the property; 2. The exterior building materials of the expansion shall be compatible with those of the existing building and shall comply with city codes; 3. All signs on the site shall comply with city ordinances and be approved by city staff; 4. The trash receptacle shall be screened from view from adjacent properties and streets; 5. The Applicant shall install landscaping in accordance with city ordinance requirements and shall maintain all landscaping; 6. Parking shall be installed on the property in accordance with the site plan approved by the city; 16. 12. 7. The loading area shall be constructed in accordance with the plans approved by the city; 8. Hard surface coverage of the site shall be in accordance with the plans approved by the city; 9. A11 tenants in the building shall apply to the zoning administrator for an administrative conditional use permit; 10. There shall be no exterior loudspeakers on the property; 11. The Applicant shall dedicate to the city the easements for T.H. 55 and Sioux Drive required by the city engineer; The Applicant shall obtain approval of the project from the Elm Creek Watershed District; 13. The blacktop shown to the existing building in the southwest corner of the property shall be omitted; pcS fL 14. The building in the southwes'-t corner of the property shall be removed within four years of the date of the adoption of this resolution; 15. Exterior lighting shall be designed and installed so as not to shine onto adjacent properties or streets; There shall be no rooftop mechanical equipment on the building; 17. The city engineer and zoning administrator shall review all plans submitted by the Applicant for compliance with city ordinances and with the terms of this conditional use permit; 18. The Applicant is urged to have written correspondence with the property owner to the east; 19. Drainage and utility easements and other concerns shall be shown on the plans submitted to the city; and 20. The Applicant shall pay to the city a fee in the amount determined by the staff to represent the actual cost to the city of reviewing this conditional use permit application. Dated: ATTEST: , 1988.
