APPROVING PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT-
SLAVIN & MORSE, LLC
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of professional legal selvices with regard to
ABC related matters; and
WHEREAS, the law fum of Slavin & Morse, liC, possesses the requisite experience and
expertise to provide said specialized legal services; and
WHEREAS, the law :firm of Slavin & Morse. LLC, has submitted a proposal to provide said
services at a maximum cost not to exceed $625.00; and
\VHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds ate or will be available for
said purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret that the law fitm of Slavin & Morse, ILC be appointed as special counsel to
address ABC license related matters at a maximum cost not to exceed $625.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this action is approved as an award of a
professional services conttact pursuant to N.].S.A. 40A:11-5(1)(a) in accordance with the
Borough's Fair and Open Process as authotized by law.
