A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, TO REINSTALL A SECURITY
GATE / METAL DETECTOR AT THE HISTORIC CITY HALL
OUTSIDE OF THE COMMISSION CHAMBERS; PROVIDING
FOR INCORPORATION OF RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, in years past there was a security gate/metal detector installed outside the
Commission Chambers at Historic City Hall in Opa-locka; and
WHEREAS, in light of recent events in Florida and elsewhere around the country, the City
Commission of the City of Opa-locka desires to have a security gate/metal detector reinstalled at Historic
City Hall, outside the commission Chambers, and believes it would be prudent to do so, for the protection
of the citizens, staff,and officers of Opa-locka.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA-LOCKA,FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka, hereby directs and authorizes the
City Manager to re-install a security gate/metal detector at Opa-locka's Historic City Hall, outside of the
Commission Chambers.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
