AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, DECLARING SURPLUS AND
AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF NSP PROPERTY AT 814 EAST MCCARTY STREET, 408
LAFAYETTE STREET, AND 304 MARSHALL STREET IN THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, COLE
COUNTY, MISSOURI.
WHEREAS, a notice of the property was published in the News Tribune with no qualified
responses received.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Properties located at 814 East McCarty Street, 408 Lafayette Street, and 304
Marshall Street, which were acquired with Federal NSP grant funds are hereby declared
surplus.
Section 2. In completing the transactions of NSP properties located at 814 East
McCarty Street, 408 Lafayette Street, and 304 Marshall Street, Jefferson City, Missouri, the
Council shall waive requirements not fulfilled as set out in Sec. 2-385 of the Code, including but
not limited to the obligation to offer the property to adjoining but non-qualifying landowners.
Section 3. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to sell and
execute a warranty deeds for the transfer of properties located in Jefferson City, Missouri at:
814 East McCarty Street
408 Lafayette Street
304 Marshall Street
Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its
passage an approval.
