HomeMy Public PortalAbout11-8174 Permit Applications for Parties Sponsored by: Commissioner Holmes Resolution No. 11-8174 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, REQUIRING THE COMPLETION AND APPROVAL OF A PERMIT APPLICATION FOR PARTIES OR GATHERINGS IN THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA ON CITY PROPERTY; PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREAS, many groups, and individuals hold parties or gatherings in the City of Opa-locka and seek to utilize City property for their events; and WHEREAS, all such groups or individuals should be required to complete a permit application for parties and gatherings on City property, and to obtain a permit for them, in such form as is prescribed by the City Manager. NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA,FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference. Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka, hereby requires that any and all groups or individuals seeking to hold a party or gathering on City property shall file an application seeking a permit for parties or gatherings in the City of Opa-locka, on City property, and shall receive a permit,on forms prescribed by the City Manager. Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
