The meeting was called to order by the Moderator, Stephen. Doyle, at 7:42 p.n. , a quorum being present. The Registras were Dorothea Tugan, jean Gage and ion Howard. The yellers were Paul Sylver, Dorothy Grenier, Gladys Curtis, Doris Powell, and J. Ogden Tyldsley, Jr. The pages were Melissa Hansen and Patrick O'Connor. The Warrant was read by the Town Cleric, Ruth Eddy, with the exception of the articles, which were read as they were being considered. The invocation was given by the Rev. Donald Hills. it was voted to tape record this meeting. It was voted that the order of consideration of articles in the Warrant for this Town :Meeting be suspended and Articles 19 through 3; be taken a immediately, and before consideration of Articles 1 through 13. ARTICLE 19. To see if the Town will vote to amend the Zoning By-Law, Section , E, I by eliminating the present ?arae-raph ;r1 and substituting the following: 1. No premises in the Town of Brewster shall be used for the parking or storage or occupancy of travel trailers, all types of mobile camping vehicles, or mobile homes, except under the following cir- cumstances: a) A single travel trailer or camping vehicle which may be stored on the „remises of a residence but not occupied. b) Camping vehicles or travel trailers may be occupied in com- mercial trailer parks or camps only. This article was postponed. ARTICLE 20. To see if the Town will vote to amend the Zoning By-Laws Section II DEFINITIONS by eliminating existing definitions for "Trailer" and "Lodging Unit'' and by adding the following definitions to be inserted in proper alphabetical order: MOBILE A dwelling unit built on a chassis and containing electrical, ROME: plumbing and sanitary facilities, and designed to be installed on a temporary or permanent foundation for permanent living quarters. RA EL A vehicular, portable structure built on a chassis and designed TRAILER to be used for temporary occupancy for travel, recreation or vacation use, with the manufactureres permanent identification "Travel Trailer", thereon, and when .factory equipped for the road, being of any length provided its gross weight does not exceed forty-five hundred (450O) pounds, or being of any weight provided its overall length does not exceed twenty-eight (28) feet. rFOBILE Any vehicle or object on wheels which is so designed or con- CAA1,21NG' structed or reconstructed or added to by means of accessories, VEHICLE: to permit the vehicle to travel, over the highways and to be used for camping purposes, whether resting on wheels, jadks or other foundation. This definition includes self-powered camping units, expandable camping units, track mounted campers, vans equipped for camping and similar camping devices. For purposes of interpreting this portion of the Ey Law, the terra "unit" shall mean SQeach bed designed for use by an individual receiving care at such fa.cility4. The first three units of a nursing/convalescent home shall require a minimum land area equal to the lot regdirements for any permitted structures or principal use in the district in winch located, with the exception in the CR & CS districts where 20,000 square feet shall be required for the first three units of a nursing/convalescent home. In all districts where such use is allowea,incluaing by Special Permit, each Witional "usitSt shall require a minimum 4,000 square feet of land area.
