SPECIAL TOWN MEETING WARRANT

Constable of the Town of Brewster
Greetings:
In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts you are hereby
directed to notify and warn the inhabitants of the Town of Brewster
qualified to vote in Town affairs to meet in the Nauset Regional Middle
School Gymnasium on Thursday, the sixth day of March next at seven--
thirty o'clock in the evening, then and there to act on the following
Articles:
ARTICLE 1. To see if the Town will vote to request the Selectmen to in-
clude on the official ballot for the next Annual Town Election the
following question pursuant to Section 21, Chanter 41 of the General
Laws:
"Shall the Town vote to have its Selectmen appoint a Board of
Cemetery Commissioners?"
ARTICLE 2. To see if the Town will vote to transfer the sum of One
Hundred Dollars ($100.00) from the Senior Office Clerk Wages Account to
the Junior Office Clerk Wages Account.
ARTICLE 3. To see if the Town will vote to transfer from Available Funds
the sum of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) for the Brewster Bi-Centennial
Cottee to fund the cost of planting fifty (50) trees along Route 6A,
representative of the fifty (50) states.
ARTICLE 4. To see if the Town will vote to transfer from Revenue Sharing
Funds the sum of Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000.00) for the purpose of funding
the activities of the Brewster Council on Aging.
ARTICLE 5. To see if the Town will vote to transfer from Available Funds the
sum of One Thousand, Seven Hundred Dollars ($1,700.00) to settle a personal
injury (service connected) claim against the Town by former Police Officer
Piyrl Blanchard, money to be expended under the direction of the Board of
Selectmen.
ARTICLE 6. To see if the Town will vote to transfer from Available Funds
the sum of Fifteen Hundred Dollars ($1,500.00) to the School. Lunch Revolving
Account.
ARTICLE 7. To see if the Town will vote to transfer the sum of Five Thousand,
Five Hundred Dollars ($5,500.00) from the Interest on Loans for Architectural
Services-New School. Account to the School Building Committee Expenses Account.
ARTICLE S_ To see if the Town will vote.-to' transfer from. the Road Machinery
General.'Fund to the Road Machinery Expense Account the suis of One Thousand
Dollars ($1,000.00) to be used for the maintenance-and operation of road
machinery.
ARTICLE 9. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Board of Selectmen
to make an additional layout of the southwest corner of Lower Road at Route 6A
and instruct the Selectmen to proceed with the appraisal and engineering for
the construction of a safety traffic island at this intersection and take
any appropriate action relative thereto.

ARTICLE 10. To see if the Town will vote to accept the additional layout
of the southwest corner of Underpass Road at Route 6A as made and reported
by the Selectmen on November 6, 1974, as shown on a plan drawn by
Nickerson & Berger and on file with the Toum Clerk, and to authorize the
Selectmen to purchase, take by eminent domain or otherwise acquire the
title to the fee in the land within said layout and to act fully thereon
and transfer from Chapter 1140, Acts of 1974, Section 20 Funds a sum not
exceeding Two Thousand, Four Hundred Fifteen Dollars ($2,415.00) to be
used for land taking.
ARTICLE 11. To see if the Town will appropriate-a sum of money for con-
structing, originally equipping and. furnishifig a7 new elementary school,
to determine whether such appropriation shall .be raised by borrowing or
otherwise, or to take any other action relative thereto.
ARTICLE 12. To act on any other business that may legally come before
this meeting.
And you are directed to serve this Warrant with your doings thereon
to the Town Clerk at the time and place of said meeting as aforesaid.
