ASSISTANT TOWN CLERK, TR71SUREER COLLECTOR OF TAXES One who is required to assume the responsibilities of the duties of the Town Clerk, Treasurer-- Collector of Taxes in the absence of the Town Clerks Treasurer - Collector of 'T'ames. The duties shall also include typing, filing, keeping of offioe records, bookkeeping, operating bookkeeping machines and calculators, preparing billings, processing payrolls and keeping payroll records, receiving and posting payment to the Ton and have intimate knowledge or the procedures of the office of the Town Clerk, Treasurer-Collector of Tames. OPER TING ENGIT EER One who is required to perform the duties of a regular full-time and regular part-time Laborer and who in addition thereto is required to perform duties requiring a high degree of skill in trades and activities as they apply to heavy equipment and machinery. He shall operate and be responsible for the general care and maintenande of trucks and motor-driven equipment upon a regular basis and who, under direction, over-sees and is responsible for the work of one or more laborers assigned to, or working in oonnection with equipment so operated. He shall obtain a'2v and all licenses required by the Common.,sealth of Massachusetts for the operation of this equipment and shall -� have a minimum of five (5) Years practical e-xperience in this field. He may, under the direction of a superior, serve in the capacity of a working foreman and direct the work of others. SKILLED LABORER/TRUCK DR171ER One who is required to perform the; duties of a regular full--time and regular part-time laborer and who in addition thereto is required to operate and be responsible for the general care and maintenance of trucks and motor-driven equipment upon_ a regular basis, and who, under direction, oversees and is responsible for the work of one or more laborers assigned to or working in connection with equipment so operated. He shall obtain any and all licenses required by the Commonwealth of Nassachusetts for the operation of this equi ment and shall possess a Massachusetts Class II Motor Vehicle Llcense. Toted as -Drint ed above. ARTICLE 14 I nave that the Torn vote to amend Article 50 of the Annual Tovam ee•tiny of March 62 19721 by deleting "Shellfish Constables' so that it will read! "One Thousand ($1 ,000.00) Dollars to be used for the propagation of shellfish, said money to be spent under the direction of the Board of Selectmen.*' Voted as printed above. ARTICLE 15 I move that the Toro vote to transfer from Free Cash the sum of One Thousand ($1 ,000.00) Dollars to the Propagation of Shellfish Account, to be expended under the direction of the Board of Selectmen. Voted unanimously. ARTICLE 16 1 move that the Town vote to authorize the Board of Selectmen to appoint twelve (12) persons to serve for a period- of one (1) year as Brewster Economic Development Commission. Said Commission to study and report its, -- findings relative to :Weans and methods of broadening the Town's tax–base; attracting business and light–industry to the Town; and creation_ of employment opportunities for the Townspeople. ARTICLE 17 I move that the Town vote to raise and appropriate the sum. of Five Thousand ($5,C00.00) Dollars for use by Brewster Economic Development Commission for advertising, research and office expenses.vote(yes 117 no 114 ; ARTICLE 18 1 move that the Town vote to join_ the National Flood Insurance Program and to authorize the Selectmen to designate an appropriate Town agency to report to HUD thereunto. WT ereas certain areas of the Towns of Brewster are subject to periodic Flooding causing serious damage to properties within these areasi and whereas relief is available in the fora of federally subsidized flood insurance as authorized by the National Flood Insurance Act of 1968; and whereas it is the intent of the Town to require the recognition and evaluation of flood hazards in all official actions relating to land use in the flood plain areas having special flood hazards; and whereas the Town: of Brewster has legal, authority to adopt land use and control measures to reduce flood losses pursuant to the constitution and general las of the Commonwealth; now, therefore, the Town ofBre;:ster hereby votes: I . Assist the Flood Insurance Administrator in delineating flood hazard areas on available local maps of sufficient scale to locate building sites, for future Town Meeting consideration; b. Provide such information as the Administrator may request concerning present uses and occupancy of the flood plain; c. Cooperate with federal, local and state agencies and private firms which undertake to stydy, survey, Map and identify flood hazard areas and cooperate with neighboring communi– ties with respect to management of adjoining flood hazard areas in order to prevent aggravation of existing hazards; d. Submit of the anniversary date of the comm nityts initial eligibility and annual report to the Administrator on the progress made during the vast year within the community in the development of flood plain management measures; d.
