RESOLUTION N0. 81-26
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING
THE PURCHASE OF VEHICLE STORAGE BUILDING FROM MERIT CONSTRUCTION
COMPANY AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR SAID PURCHASE
WHEREAS, The City Council authorized the acceptance of the Department of
Energy Electric Vehicle Grant; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Energy Electric Vehicle Grant allocated $16,000
for the purchase of a vehicle storage building; and
WHEREAS, Council has determined that the proposal from Merit Construction
Company was the most economical and efficient way to purchase building at a cost
of $20;605; and
WHEREAS, an additional $3,500 is necessary to provide electrical service
to the building, making the total cost of the building $8;105 over existing
appropriated amount; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has studied this appropriation and its budget
implications.
._ ______ _ NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the City Council of the City of Lynwood
finds that the purchase of the storage building from Merit Construction Company
for $20,605, is the most economical and efficient way to purchase storage building.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it further resolved that Council direct staff to proceed
with purchase.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it further resolved that Council hereby authorize the
City Manager to make the following appropriation:
