CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO. P/-
RESOLUTION GRANTING A
CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO
DOUGLAS LEATHERDALE AND LOUISE LEATHERDALE
WHEREAS, Douglas Leatherdale and Louise Leatherdale (Applicants) have
applied for a conditional use permit to allow construction of a second
accessory building on their property at 2075 Cottonwood Trail; and
WHEREAS, the City's zoning ordinance requires a conditional use permit
when accessory structures will total in excess of 3,000 square feet; and
WHEREAS, this matter has been reviewed by the planning commission on
December 13, 1988, and by the City Council on January 3, 1989; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the existence of two accessory
structures on the Applicants' property will not impede the orderly development
of adjacent properties.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina,
Minnesota that a conditional use permit be granted to the Applicants for the
stated purpose, subject to the following terms and conditions:
1. The two accessory structures shall not exceed 15,000 square feet in size;
2. The number of horses maintained on the property shall not exceed 12;
3. There shall be no commercial boarding of horses on the property;
4. Staff shall check the drainfield by the existing barn;
5. There shall be no living quarters in the existing barn;
6. The fire department shall review the existing barn;
7. The Applicants shall maintain the fencing in good repair; and
8. The Applicants shall pay to the City a fee in the amount determined by
the staff to represent the actual cost to the City of reviewing this
conditional use permit application.
