SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING, JUNE 6, 2013
CALL TO ORDER
The Special Council Meeting of June 6, 2013, was convened at 5:34 P.M. by Mayor Eric
Struemph.
ROLL CALL
The following Council Members were present for the roll call:
Present: Bray, Carroll, Graham, Henry, Hussey, Mihalevich, Prather,
Schulte, and Scrivner
Absent: Branch
A quorum was declared present.
INTRODUCTION OF FACILITATOR
Mayor Eric Struemph introduced the Facilitator for the Conference Center Selection
Process, Mr. Charles Johnson, IV, who made opening remarks about how the meeting
tonight will proceed and how the selection process will occur.
PRESENTATION BY FARMERS GROUP
Mr. Johnson introduced the Farmers Group and indicated they will be given thirty
minutes to make their presentation, followed by a fifteen -minute period in which the
Mayor and City Council will be given the opportunity to ask questions about the
presentation.
The presentation was made by Mr. Kirk Farmer who presented the “Team” and the
“Project Scope” portion of the presentation; and by Mr. Rob K ingsbury, who presented
the “Site” portion.
Following the presentation, Mr. Farmer and Mr. Kingsbury answered questions. At the
conclusion, Mr. Johnson also asked questions to further clarify some of the points in the
presentation.

RECESS
Mayor Struemph called for a recess at 6:15, and stated the meeting will reconvene at
6:30 for the second presentation of the evening.
RECONVENE
The meeting was reconvened at 6:33 P.M. by Mayor Eric Struemph, with the following
Council Members present at the time the meeting reconvened:
Present: Bray, Carroll, Graham, Henry, Hussey, Mihalevich, Prather,
Schulte, and Scrivner
Absent: Branch
Mayor Struemph stated there are Boy Scouts in the audience, and asked them to come
forward and introduce themselves and he presented each one with a City pin on behalf
of the City.
INTRODUCTION OF FACILITATOR
Mr. Johnson introduced the Erhardt Group and stated they will also have thirty minutes
to present, followed by a fifteen -minute period for the Mayor and Council to ask
questions.
EHRHARDT GROUP PRESENTATION
A presentation was made by Mr. Scott Ehrhardt, Mr. Spike Ehrhardt, Mr. Stan Ehrhardt,
Mr. Trey Propes, and Mr. Jerry Campbell. Mr. Propes is the General Manager of the
Candlewood Suites in Jefferson City, one of the hote ls owned by the Group. Mr.
Campbell is an architect with Central Design from Columbia, Missouri, and works with
the Group in their projects.
At the conclusion of their presentation, they answered questions asked by the Mayor
and City Council.
Mr. Johnson then asked concluding questions.

FACILITATOR FINAL COMMENTS
Mr. Johnson stated that the next steps in the process will be as follows:
1. Within the next thirty days, the developers will be asked to provide more
information
2. Two one-day workshops will be scheduled to discuss issues such as size,
location, what does the City need in a conference center, etc. One developer will
be involved in day one, and the other developer will be involved in day two
3. At some point the City may schedule public forum(s) to al low the public to
provide input
4. The Council will select a developer within the next 60 to 90 days
Mr. Johnson stated a schedule will be put together, and will be issued within the next
week or so.
ADJOURNMENT
A motion was made by Councilman Rick Prathe r for adjournment, seconded by
Councilman Shawn Schulte, and approved unanimously by the following roll -call vote at
7:20 P.M.
