A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF
AN APPLICATION FOR .FUNDS AVAILABLE THROUGH THE
STATE OF CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT.
WHEREAS, the Legislature of the State of California has approved
the Deferred-Payment Rehabilitation Loan Fund, which is administered by
the State Department of Housing and Community Development; and
WHEREAS, sections 50660-50670 of the California Health and Safety
Code provide for financial assistance; and
WHEREAS, the State Department of Housing and Community Develop-
ment, as authorized by 56966/AB333/S6229 (Marks/Hughes/Roberti), and
Regulations Chapter 7, Subchapter 5, Sections 7400-7436, solicit appli-
cations from qualified local entities for loan funds to rehabilitate
rental properties.
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood is eligible to comply with such
regulations and receive such_,financ_ial assistance.;.and'_ .: -~-
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood has an acute need to expand funding
for the City's Rehabilitation Program. -
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the
City of Lynwood approves authorizing the submission of an application for
funds available through the State of California Department of Housing and
Communty~_D.ev_elopment to expand the funding of the City's Rehabilitation
Program. - - - --. __ -
