A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD ADOPTING A REVISED AND UPDATED
EMPLOYEE CLASSIFICATION AND POSITION PLAN. ,
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted an~Employee Classification Plan in
1974 and an updated Plan in 1979; and
WHEREAS, the Personnel Rules and Regulations require that the Classi-
fication Plan accurately reflect the duties and responsibilities of all positions
in the classified service; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has approved the reorganization of City functions
and est~.;blished.an exempt service to exclude grant and some management positions
from the classified service which necessitate revisions to the Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is beneficial to have
work descriptions for all City positions including exempt and hourly; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has studied the Employee Classification and
Position Plan and approved same.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Lynwood
hereby adopts the Employee Classification and Position Plan asithe official document
describing--the work duties~~and qualifications of the City_workfo.rce. ._
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 7th day of April, 1981.
