A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD PROPOSING THE FORMATION OF A
LIGHT ASSESSMENT DISTRICT WITHIN SAID CITY
PURSUANT TO THE "LANDSCAPE AND LIGHTING ACT
OF 1972", AS AMENDED, DIVISION 15, PART 2 OF
THE STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE OF, THE STATE
OF CALIFORNIA (SECTION 22500, ET SEQ.);
DESCRIBING THE IMPROVEMENTS TO BE MADE AND
'THE DISTRICT TO BENEFIT BY SAID IMPROVEMENTS
AND TO BE ASSESSED TO PAY THE COSTS AND EX-
• - -JPENSES THEREOF FOR FISCAL YEAR 1981-82; AND
ORDERING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS/CITY
ENGINEER TO PREPARE AND FILE A REPORT IN
ACCORDANCE WITH STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE,
SECTION 22565 ET SEQ. (LYNWOOD LIGHTING
ASSESSMENT DISTRICT)
WHEREAS, the City Council proposes to take proceedings
under the "Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972", as amended,
located in Division 15, Part 2 of the Streets and Highways
Code of the State of California; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works/City Engineer has
submitted a proposed map of Lynwood Lighting Assessment District
indicating by boundary lines the extent of territory included
in the proposed assessment district;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood ~
does hereby resolve, order and determine as follows:
SECTION.. 1. .T'he City Council of said City hereby
proposes the formation of an assessment district to maintain i
i
and service improvements within said City. Such proposed main-
tenance and service .being described. as follows, to wit:
installation or construction of public lighting facilities or
any facilities which are appurtenant thereto, or which are
necessary or convenient for the maintenance or servicing
thereof, including but not limited to; electric current, repair
of street light standards and fixtures, and incidental costs i
including labor, material and equipment.
SECTION 2. The area proposed is within the boundaries
of the City of Lynwood as shown on the accompanying map

SECTION 3. The proposed formation of Lynwood Lighting
Assessment District and maintenance and service of improvements
hereinbefore described are hereby referred to the Director of ~
Public Works/City Engineer of said City, who is further hereby
directed to make.and file with the City Clerk, a report, in. ~
writing, containing all of the matters required by Article 4
of Chapter 1 of said Act, commencing with Streets and Highways
Code of the State of California, Section 225.65.
SECTION 4. Said proposed formation. of the assessment
district, maintenance of improvements and proceedings there-
fore are to be under and pursuant to said Act (commencing with
Streets and Highways Code Section 22500, et .seq.)
