A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWO.OD SETTING FORTH TIME LIMIT, LICENSE FEES
AND PENALTY FEES FOR DOG LICENSING.

. WHEREAS, Interim Urgency Ordinance No.. 1126 which amended
the Lynwood City Code pertaining to time limit, license fees
and penalty fees for dog licensing was adopted by the City
Council on the 19th day of May 1981;
WHEREAS, Section 2 of that interim urgency ordinance states
that the time limit, license fees and penalty fees shall be as
established by resolution from time to time adopted by the City
Council;
N.OW;,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council finds
and concludes:
SECTION 1. Time Limit, License Fee. Every person owning
or having custody.or control of any. dog ,or dogs over the age of
four (1I) months within the City of Lynwood shall first obtain an
annual license from the City Clerk or designated representative
or con.tractural agent of the City as designated for the City, for
each such dog, and at the same time obtain a dog license tag;,`
and for such license or .licenses :hall pay Twenty Dollars ($20.00)
except that if the dog is spayed or neutered, the fee for such
a license or licenses is Ten Dollars ($10.00) per each dog, and
spayed bitches and neutered males owned or in the custody or con-
trol of any resident sixty-two (62) years of age or older, shall
pay Seven Dollars and Fifty Cents ($7.50) per each dog, provided,
however, that the full license fee must be paid if said resident

5-20 of this chapter. If exempted. from license fees by Section
5-21,.the fee shall be the tag fee provided for therein.
Original license fees shall be due and payable, on July 1 of
each year, commencing July 1, 1981. ,.
SECTION 2. Penalty Fees. Any person who fails to pay the
required dog license fee within thirty (30) days of the time
required by Section 1 shall pay,' in addition to said license fee,
a penalty fee of fifty per cent (50%) of the original or renewal
license fee.
