Home My Public Portal About81-083 (06-24-81)RESOLUTION NO. 81-83 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE EXECU'T'ION OF THE FREEWAY AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AND THE CITY OF LYNWOOD WHEREAS, the City Council of the City .of Lynwood pursuant to Section 100.22 of Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, has held a public hearing on a proposed Freeway Agreement covering the Route 7 freeway between the Paramount city limit at Summerdal Street and the South Gate city limit at Imperial Highway and the Route 105 freeway between the city limit at Mona Boulevard and city limit near Route 7, on the day of June, 1981; and WHEREAS, notices of said hearing were published and posted in time, form, and manner required by law; and WHEREAS, all environment concerns have been properly addressed in the "Final Environmental Impact Statement for the Proposed Routes 1 and 1-105 (El Segundo-Norwalk) Freeway- Transitway" dated October 10, 1978; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the .City of Lynwood as follows: SECTION 1: That the Freeway Agreement attached hereto as Exhibit A is hereby adopted, approved and ratified; and SECTION 2: That the Mayor of the City of Lynwood is authorized and directed to execute said agreement for and on behalf of the-City of Lynwood. ~ PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 24 h day of une,~ 1981. .. ~. FREEWAY AGREEMENT 1HS--AGREEMENT, ~ ma~de~an`d ~ entered-- into on thi s ~~ day of u ~ 19 ~/, by and between the STATE_OF CALIFORNIA, a tang by and through the Department of Transportation .(herein referred to as "STATE" ), and the CITY OF LYNWOOD (herein referred to as "CITY"), WITNESSETH: WHEREAS, the highways described. above have been declared to be freeways by Resolutions of the California Highway Commission on Nove.maer T6, 19+9 and July 24, 1968; and WHEREAS, STATE and CITY have entered into a Freeway Agreement dated July 9, 1970,-relating to that portion of State Highway Route 7 from the Paramount city limit of Summerdale Street to the South-Gate city limit.at Imperial Highway; and WHEREAS, STATE and CITY have entered into a Freeway Agreement dated July 9, 1970, relating to that portion of State Highway Route 305 from the city limit at Mona Boulevard to the city limit near Route 7; .and ~_ WHEREAS, a revised plan map for such f r~eway has been prepared ~ showir-g the proposed plan of the STAT a +' E s it a_fects streets of the CITY; and .-.ti WHEREAS,, it is the mutual desire oP the parties hereto to enter into anew Freeway Agreement. in accordance with the revised plan of said freeway; .
