A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
T,YNWOOD APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF A MACK EMC6 285
ENGINE-FROM~MACK TRUCKS; OF SIGNAL HILL, CALIFORNIA.
" WHEREAS, the City Council was authorized funds in the 1881-82
_ operating-budget for _ the _purchase .,of__a- suitable _engine _ to extend __the ~~
service life and reliability of the City's 1864 Crown Aerial Platform; and
WHEREAS,,the City Council has reviewed the Staff report regard-
ing the purchase of this'.engine; and -
WHEREAS, the City Council hereby determines, based on the
Staff report, that the engine may be more economically and efficiently
acquired without competitive bidding;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does
hereby resolve that:
The Purchasing Officer is authorized to purchase one (1) Mack
Engine Model EMC6 285 from Mack Trucks, Inc. of Signal Hill, California,
~iri the amount-of Twenty~Nine Thousand Two Hundred Forty Six Dollars
Forty Seven Cents ($28,246.47) total.
PASSED,, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 23rd day of July, 1881.
