HomeMy Public PortalAbout1989-24Membere �-9 introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO. RESOLUTION DENYING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT AND VARIANCES TO ARTHUR ELLIS AND PAULINE ELLIS WHEREAS, Arthur Ellis and Pauline Ellis (Applicants) have applied for a conditional use permit to construct two single family residential structures on the property located at 1195 Hackamore; and WHEREAS, the City's zoning ordinance requires a conditional use permit under such circumstances; and WHEREAS, the Applicants have also requested variances to reduce the setback of the proposed houses from Lake Medina; and WHEREAS, these matters have been reviewed by the planning commission on March 22, 1989, and by the City Council on April 4, 1989. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina, Minnesota that the conditional use permit requested by the Applicants be denied because of the lack of sufficient soils to accommodate septic systems for both houses in case of future subdivision. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina that the variances requested be denied because the Applicants have demonstrated no hardship in being able to comply with the required setback from Lake Medina.
