AN ORDINANCE, making an appropriation of Four Million Dollars
($4,000,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer construction
in MC-02 Watson to Edgar Rd Sanitary Relief (SKME-580A) (10024) in the Cities of Webster
Groves and Shrewsbury and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District
to enter into Contract No. 22164 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. for said sanitary sewer
construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction is Nine Million One
Hundred Ninety-Seven Thousand Five Hundred Fifty-Five Dollars ($9,197,555.00) and the
allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Six Hundred Two
Thousand Four Hundred Forty-Five Dollars ($602,445.00);
WHEREAS, a supplemental appropriation request is planned for Fiscal Year 2023
(FY23) for a total appropriation amount of Nine Million Eight Hundred Thousand Dollars
($9,800,000.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Four Million Dollars ($4,000,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer construction in
MC-02 Watson to Edgar Rd Sanitary Relief (SKME-580A) (10024) in the Cities of Webster
Groves and Shrewsbury and Unincorporated St. Louis County; said contract being comprised of
such terms and conditions as have been approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the
District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 22164
with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc for said sanitary sewer construction in MC-02 Watson to Edgar Rd
Sanitary Relief (SKME-580A) (10024) in the Cities of Webster Groves and Shrewsbury and
Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 22nd day of April
2022.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on June 9, 2022
