A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROPRIATIMG.MONIES FROM
THE CITY GENERAL. FUND TO A;SPECIAL FUP!D
FOR ,PAYMENT TO LOS ANGELES COUNTY FOR
DEFICIENCIES IN THE LYNWOOD HOUSING AND
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT 3LOCK GRANT PROGRAt1
41HEREAS, an audit has been performed on the City of
Lynwood Housing and Community Development Block Grant accounts;
WHEREAS, said audit .was performed by the firm Simpson
& Simpson at the request of the Los Angeles County Department
o.f Community Development;
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood has a contractual agree-
ment with the Los Angeles County Department of Community
Development to .properly expend the Block Grant monies available
to the City of Lynwood; _
WHEREAS, the final audit report by Simpson ~ S.impson
made findings that certain funds were inappropriately
expended;.
WHEREAS, the final audit report findings-have been re-
viewed b.y Los Angeles County staff. and Lynwood City staff;
WHEREAS, the final audit report indicated a ,liability
of $t45,gt4.00;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does__he ruby resolve
SECTION 1.
a. That the findings of the Simpson and Simpson
audit were inadequate;
b. The liability of the City of Lynwood should be
$36,$99.00;
c. That the staff of the County is in agreement with
the amount of $36,8gg.00 as the City's liability.
SECTION 2.
a.. That $36,899.00 is hereby appropriated from the
City of Lynwood's General Fund to a special account,
for payment to Los Angeles County;
b. That payments shall be as follows: _

c. That the first payment of $1,000.00 be made
