AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT
WOLFF & SAMSON, PC
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret, ("Borough"), is in need of specialized legal
services; and
WHEREAS, Wolff & Samson, PC possess the requisite skill and expertise to provide
such specialized legal services; and
WHEREAS, the Law Director of the Borough of Carteret has recommended the
appointment of Wolff & Samsou, PC to defend the Borough of Carteret at a cost uot to
exceed $IS,OOO.OO; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or wiil be available
for said purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by Mayor and Conncil of the Borough of
Carteret, that Wolff & Samson, PC is hereby appointed as special counsel to defend the
Borough of Carteret in the above described matters at a cost uot to exceed $IS,OOO.OO;
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this appointment is made as a professional services
contract pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:ll-S(I)(a) in accordance with the Borough's Fair and
Open Process as authorized by law.
