RESOLUTION N0. 81-107
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD, CALIFORNIA AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION
OE A LOAN AGREEMENT AND PROMISSORY NOTE WITH THE
CALIFORNIA ENERGY COMMISSION UNDER THE STREET
LIGHTING CONVERSION LOAN PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the California Legislature has enacted the Energy
Conservation Act of 1979, which authorizes the California Energy
Commission~to loan funds to local governments for street light con-
version protects; and
WHEREAS, the Resolution No. 81-39 of the City Council of
The City of Lynwood authorized application for the above program; and
,WHEREAS, the California Energy Commission has designated
the City of Lynwood as a successful candidate for receiving the above
mentioned loans.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby resolve that:
Section 1. the City of Lynwood is hereby authorized to
enter into an agreement with the California Energy Commission to
borrow $40,600 for the purpose of energy conservation through
street light conversion.
Section ,2. That the City of Lynwood is hereby authorized to
give appropriate instruments to the California Energy Commission as
evidence of said debt and the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute
in the name of the City of Lynwood, the Loan Agreement and Promissory
Note, and other documents required to consummate this transaction;
Section 3. The following appropriations are hereby made
as follows:
