HomeMy Public PortalAboutR3772 EX DIR Resolution COVID Testing RepealRESOLUTION NO. 3772 WHEREAS, the adoption of Resolution No. 3772 will authorize the repeal of Resolution No. 3702, adopted September 9, 2021 and Resolution No. 3745, adopted April 14, 2022. WHEREAS, in September 2021 and as part of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District’s (MSD) continued commitment to protecting the workplace during an infectious disease outbreak, the Board of Trustees adopted Resolution No. 3702; and WHEREAS, in April 2022 and due to the state of the infection rates at the time, the Board of Trustees directed staff to suspend Sections One, Two, and Four of Resolution No. 3702, adopted September 9, 2021; and WHEREAS, when HB 1606 becomes effective August 28, 2022, Section 6 of said bill will prohibit a political subdivision from requiring a public employee to get a COVID-19 vaccine as a condition of commencing or continuing employment; and WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees has directed the Executive Director to monitor all data and information available regarding COVID-19 and revise the Program on an as needed basis. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One: Resolution No. 3702, adopted September 9, 2021 and Resolution No. 3745, adopted April 14, 2022 are both hereby repealed. Section Two: The Executive Director is hereby delegated full and complete authority to implement and revise, on an as needed basis, MSD’s Mandatory COVID Testing Program Policy. The foregoing Resolution was adopted on August 11, 2022
