A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD, CALIFORNIA, REQUESTING
THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF
LOS ANGELES TO CONSOLIDATE A SPECIAL
MUNICIPAL ELECTION OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
TO BE HELD ON ~ .NOVEII~BER 3 , 1981, WITH THE
UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT BOARD ELECTION TO
BE HELD ON NOVEMBER 3, 1981
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood has
commenced proceedings for the calling of a special municipal election
in the City to be held on November 3, 1981, for the purpose of
submitting to the qualified voters of the City of Lynwood an ordinance
levying a special tax for fire protection and prevention services
as hereinafter set forth, and
WHEREAS, it is desirable that said special municipal election
be consolidated with the Unified School District Board election to be
held on the same date and that, within the City of Lynwood, the pre-
cincts, polling places and election officers of the two elections be
the same, and that the Board oflSupervisors of the County of
Los Angeles canvass the returns of the special municipal election
and that_sai.d__Unified School District Board election and special
municipal election be held in all respects as if there were only
one election,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYN^IOOD
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS
SECTION 1 That pursuant to the requirements of the Election
Code, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles be and
is hereby requested to consent and agree to the consolidation of a
special municipal election with the Unified School District Board
election on Tuesday, the 3rd day of November, 1981, for the purpose
of submitting to the electors of the City of Lynwood a proposition
to appear on the ballot as follows

SECTION 2 Said Board of Supervisors of the County of
Los Angeles is hereby authorized to canvass the returns of said
special municipal election which it is hereby requested to
consolidate with said Unified School District Board election and
said election shall be held in all respects as if there were only
one election, and only one form of ballot shall be used
SECTION 3 Said Board of Supervisors is hereby requested
to issue instructions to the County Clerk to take any and all
steps necessary for the holding of said consolidated election
SECTION 4 The City of Lynwood recognizes that additional
costs will be incurred by the County by reason of this consolidation
and agrees to reimburse the County for any such costs
SECTION 5 That the City Clerk of the City of Lynwood is
hereby directed to file a certified copy of this Resolution with
the County Clerk, the Registrar of Voters, and the Board of
Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD at a regular meeting held on the 4th day of August, 1981
