AN ORDINANCE, making an appropriation of One Million Thirty Thousand
Dollars ($1,030,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for pump station
improvements in Robyn Hills Number 1 Pump Station (P-417) Replacement (12189) in the City
of Sunset Hills, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on
behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 22186 with Kelpe
Contracting, Inc. for pump station improvements.
WHEREAS, the bid for said pump station improvements is Nine Hundred Fifty-
Seven Thousand Six Hundred Four Dollars ($957,604.00) and the allowance for construction
change orders and other project expenses is Seventy-Two Thousand Three Hundred Ninety-Six
Dollars ($72,396.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Thirty Thousand Dollars ($1,030,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for pump station improvements in
Robyn Hills Number 1 Pump Station (P-417) Replacement (12189) in the City of Sunset Hills,
Missouri; said contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as have been approved by
the Office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 22186
with Kelpe Contracting, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for pump station improvements in
Robyn Hills Number 1 Pump Station (P-417) Replacement (12189) in the City of Sunset Hills,
Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 19th day of July, 2022.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on September 8, 2022
